Shelli

I have pretty much the same story as many in this field in the sense that paranormal experiences started for me when I was a child.   As I became a teenager I began to read as much as I could on the subject in order to have a better understanding as to what was going on.

In my late teens and into my mid-twenties, myself and a small group of friends that had interest in the paranormal started investigating the known local haunts.  There are many stories I could share with you about our adventures!

Our lives went in different directions and we no longer went on those ghost hunts but I still had a deep interest in continuing to learn about the paranormal.  The interest has grown to such a point that I just had to take the leap and start a group in order to meet others that are also interested in the paranormal and learn from one another and share our experiences.

I spent several years in I.T. Departments doing technical support, training, and the list could go on and on.  I had my own web design business for a few years and still design and set up web sites from time to time.  (I did this one!)  My hobbies are photography, drawing and painting.  I play the flute and in my spare time I try and learn to play my keyboard, acoustic guitar and violin.

I am married to Mike (he's a WONDERFUL man!) and we have a little four-legged, furry child (he's a dog if you haven't realized it yet!) named Sam Elliott that is just the most lovable little creature and we are crazy about him!

My interest in the paranormal started like most people, when I was a child, hearing friends and relatives telling stories of their experiences.  Later in life, I experienced things for myself that seemed to have no explanation.  I got more involved in finding answers when I was in my early to mid-twenties.

Having been trained as a private investigator, police officer and preacher has allowed me to look at the paranormal in both the spiritual and religious aspect as well as the logical and scientific aspect.

When I married Shelli, our conversations about our past experiences and the questions that we had about the paranormal lead us to the decision to create our group, Lone Star Paranormal Society.

Now we seek answers using scientific as well as spiritual methods to find proof of what may be out there.

I have been interested in the paranormal for a long time, but have never really
known what to do with my curiosity. But now that I have found LSPS, I hope to
better understand all the aspects of this field. Thanks to Mike and Shelli for letting
me take part!
